"Learn as if you were not reaching you goal and though you were scared of missing it." -Confucius

Good Morning Sunnyside Parents. Thank you for helping make this morning’s student drop off a success. Just a reminder… if you are RUNNING LATE you will need to drop the students off in the parking lot and have the students enter the gate near the auditorium. THE LATE BELL RINGS at 8:15. This gate will remain open throughout the day. You may also park in the lot wherever space is available. The SOUTHWEST portion of the lot has been designated for parents and visitors. We will try the parking lot pickup this afternoon and MAKE ADJUSTMENTS as needed. Also, preschool parents can park in front of the school and in the bus circle (lane closest to center). If you park in the bus circle this should be for pickup and drop off, not extended stays. We are doing this to eliminate parking across the street, double and triple parking, and U-Turns in front of the school. It has also been recommended that campuses go to a single point entrance for security purposes.

SRO - Sunnyside has a School Resource Officer (Sheriff) available to help out our students/staff. Thank you to the TC Sheriffs Department for providing this valuable resource. The SRO will assist in pertinent cases and events and also provide PROACTIVE support for our students.

Information regarding the 2020 CENSUS will be posted soon. Please make sure you complete the CENSUS Ouur community and school will benefit from an accurate count. Questions? Please contact the school. We are working on having a CENSUS DAY so we can help out as needed.

REMINDER: On March 9, 2020, please drop off and pick up your students in the drive lanes in the parking lot. The front entrance of the school will be locked. If you are a late arrival (after 8:15) please use the entrance gate in the parking lot by the auditorium.

Come visit Sunnyside Gardens and purchase plants (tomatoes, peppers, flowers, etc.). Plants are on sale for $2.50 each. They look wonderful. Proceeds will go to towards the Sunnyside Gardening Program.

ATTENTION: If you have been trying to access the Flu Survey and have not been successful, it should NOW be operational. Sorry for any inconvience.

Tonight is Parent Involvment Night. Parents will meet up in the Cafeteria to hear all the new exciting things at Sunnyside and help revise the Parent Involvement Policy. Kids will be dismissed to watch the movie Abominable and will be served pizza. It will begin at 6 PM tonight.
