On Thursday lunch will be delivered (beginning at 9:00 outside of Plainview and around 10:00 in Plainview) to the community for Thursday and Friday. Good Morning Sunnyside. At a special board meeting last night the Governing Board decided to suspend on campus learning so students and staff can hopefully be quarantine free during the holidays. The last day of on campus learning will be Wednesday, December 9. ALL Students will need to join their class online beginning December 10 through December 18. Learning on campus is scheduled to resume Monday, January 11. If this date changes you will be notified. The board and staff thanks all parents for diligently screening for symptoms. Overall the return to campus has been successful. A hard copy letter with more details will be mailed and posted on the website. Thank You!

Food Delivery for Sunnyside School beginning Monday, November 16. Delivery will be Monday and Wednesday for Distance Learners. Learners on campus will receive breakfast for the week on Monday and Lunch Daily before departing. There is no longer a drive thru pick-up on campus. Information can be found on our website. The clinic entrance is north of the portable classrooms. We are trying to follow all Health Guidelines, Rules and best practices to ensure the safest environment possible. We will see what adjustments need to be made and appreciate your patience, and everything you have done for our school.
Message #2 from Sunnyside. General Reminders for those of you who SIGNED UP to return tomorrow. Please have your child bring their technology device daily. When dropping off your child please remain in your vehicle. Do not walk your child up to the entrance. Students are allowed to bring a backpack and water. Sanitizing stations are located inside and outside of each classroom. Touchless water dispensers have been placed in all classrooms. All materials needed will be provided. If your child is exhibiting any COVID Symptoms, even if minor, please keep them at home for the day and notify the school office. Do not send your child to the bus stop with a temperature of 100.4 or higher. They will not be allowed on the bus. Plainview bus stops will be between 7:20 and 7:40. We will adjust as needed. Buses will be stopping at each end of the street. You must ride the bus that is associated with your street. Outside of Plainview stops will be close to normal times. If at all possible please bring your son/daughter to school and/or pick your son/daughter up (11:45). It will help with our limited transportation that has been imposed for social distancing. School entrances will not open until 8:00 AM and students will go directly to the classroom. School staff will assist students to class and signage around campus has been placed to help students. You may drop off your Kindergarten thru Second grade students at ANY entrance inside the bus circle. The drop off point for students in grades third thru fifth is in the school parking lot.

Good afternoon Sunnyside parents. Attached is a video explaining the pickup and drop off process for those who signed up to return this Thursday. Transportation will be provided only to those who signed up. If you have changed your mind and want to return to campus you will need to wait until next month. Bus stops in Plainview will be at both ends of your street. Do not go to another pick up point. There will be assigned seating. A face covering is required to ride the bus. Temperature checks will take place at each entrance gate for all students. . If things change our there are updates we will send out text messages and post on the website. If you have any questions please contact the school. We are currently experiencing internet issues outside our control. Please be patient, things will be rough to start but we want a SAFE start for everyone.
